iQmetrix, the global provider of Intelligent Commerce Operating Systems for telecom, unveiled a new wave of intelligence-driven tools for telecom commerce last week. The company shared the highlights at its 2026 Telecom Industry Address and Product Announcements on Oct. 28. iQmetrix hosted the virtual event in two sessions. One served North American audiences, and the other served European audiences.
The address followed one central theme: intelligence. According to iQmetrix, telecom commerce is moving from systems that record the business to systems that act on it. As a result, the new announcements put intelligence in the hands of every role. That includes the sales associate at the counter, the finance manager in the back office, and the corporate team leading the channel experience.
“Right now telecom providers are competing in a race to the bottom on price that no one wins. The way out is intelligence. Not AI bolted onto a fragmented tech stack, but intelligence built into how commerce runs. Information plus context equals intelligence, and intelligence plus action in the right moment equals a great experience. The kind that earns loyalty and wins new subscribers.”— Megan Howse, Senior Vice President of Marketing, iQmetrix
What the 2026 Telecom Commerce Research Found
The first half of the address revealed the 2026 Telecom Commerce Megatrends. iQmetrix built the findings on its fourth annual research project with TelcoTitans. This year, the study went global. It surveyed 335 organizations across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. Those respondents included tier one operators, MVNOs, and OEMs. Last year, the research covered only 119 companies across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Confidence runs high across the industry. In fact, 94% of respondents expect commercial revenue to grow over the next three years. However, the results show a gap between spending and outcomes. While 95% increased their unified commerce investment in the past year, only 49% can point clearly to measurable impact.
Six trends that will define the year ahead. The impact of AI is real but readiness is the bottleneck, first. Second, commerce is moving from search to ask. Third, the device has become a purchase you consider. Fourth, seamless is now attached. Fifth, the store has a new job that focuses on people. Finally, commerce leaders see digital and physical as a single experience.
Those leaders make up about a quarter of respondents. Moreover, they are far more likely to call a single integrated commerce platform a critical priority. Specifically, 78% of them do, compared with 46% of mainstream organizations.
AI Built In, With People in Control
The research points to a clear readiness gap. Investment keeps rising, yet results depend on the systems, data, and people underneath the AI. The second half of the address showed how iQmetrix is closing that gap. The company built intelligence from the ground up.
To do so, iQmetrix rebuilt the foundation beneath its products. The platform now captures every sale, customer, payout, and repair job as it happens. Additionally, it adds the context that the best people in each role carry. The company started with how the best inventory managers move stock. The result is a system that remembers what has happened, senses what is happening now, and knows how to act.
Each role will have its own agent with its own tools, rules, and data. Importantly, agents recommend, and people decide. Every action gets approved, shown with its reasoning, and recorded. iQmetrix also tests each agent before every release.
How Intelligence Supports Each Role
The announcements covered a wide range of roles across the business.
- Sales Associates: iQ Storefront carries every sale type in one flow. Teams can sell now and finish later. The platform also offers Buy Now, Pay Later at the counter through iQ Pay. Furthermore, it enforces manager approvals with individual PINs. iQmetrix added more than 50 features to iQ Storefront over the past year.
- Repair Technicians: Repair now sits inside the sale. One guided flow runs from intake to pickup. Technicians can also file insurance claims directly from the repair job.
- Inventory Managers: Ivan, an all-new AI inventory agent, reads stock and sales across every store. It proposes the transfer plan. Then it waits for approval before anything moves.
- Operations Managers: Next Gen iQ Hub adds flexible reporting and Visualize dashboards at every level of the business. It answers plain language questions from the same governed data as reports. In addition, it brings repair services management and role-based permissions.
- Finance Managers: iQ Pay for Back Office features Smart Payout and sped up payouts, as fast as next day. Managers can also send invoices with a secure link for payment. Payment options include card, digital wallet or in installments. Recurring invoicing and simplified reconciliation round off the package.
- New Partner Integrations include Stratus HR. HR Managers: For US customers, it sends new hires to point of sale and hours worked to payroll. This does not lead to double entry.
- Supply Chain Managers: Another new partner integration, Valor Communication, restocks the accessory wall based on what is actually selling. Therefore, there is no manual reordering.
- Corporate/C-Suite: Channel Management is the company’s vision for the future. It provides one experience everyplace with seamless handoffs from web to app to chat to store. When a carrier launches something, every store gets the same product, price and promo.
“Everyone can buy the same AI. What they can’t buy is one that has learned directly from your business. You can take the systems you have, bolt AI on top, and call it intelligent. We could have done that, but we didn’t. We completely rebuilt the foundation.” — Iqbal Habib, Senior Product Manager, iQmetrix
Where Intelligent Commerce Is Heading
Looking ahead, iQmetrix also outlined its roadmap. The company plans to bring AI agents to every area of the business. They will serve the front of house with iQ Storefront and the back office with iQ Hub. At the corporate level, they will deliver centralized intelligence with decentralized execution across channels.
That direction includes several planned additions. These include district views and longer reporting history. The roadmap also covers ready-made role templates and an AI sales assistant that builds the cart and shows the next best step. Finally, iQmetrix plans agents that work with customers’ own AI agents.
