GomSpace Aims for SEK 1.6 Billion Revenue by 2030 in New Financial Target

GomSpace

GomSpace has unveiled new financial targets for the medium term. The company aims to reach SEK 1.6 billion in annual revenue by 2030. It also wants to deliver an EBITDA margin above 20% over the same period. These GomSpace financial targets imply a CAGR of at least 30% from last twelve-month (LTM) Q3 2026 through 2030.

The company builds its goals on a transformed operating model, improved profitability, a stronger market position and an expanding geographic presence. GomSpace intends to win market share through its integrated systems capabilities and continued international expansion. In addition, it plans to take part in more higher-value solution and constellation programs.

To reach the margin goal, GomSpace expects economies of scale, increased standardization and greater industrialization. Continued product innovation will also support the target. Moreover, the company may add inorganic initiatives to enhance its competitiveness. To support its planned growth, GomSpace expects to supplement internally generated funds with additional capital during the period.

CEO Carsten Drachmann comments: “Over the past three and a half years, we have transformed GomSpace and built a disciplined foundation for profitable growth,

continuous improvement and stronger investor trust, including a significant increase in no of shareholders and market cap.

We are now entering our next phase where we intend to capitalize on this transformation and the position we have created and together with additional strategic investments into the operations aim to create long-term shareholder value through ambitious, profitable growth.

This will require larger contracts, expansion into new markets and further investment in technology, business models and our portfolio. As larger opportunities involve longer sales cycles and create value over several years, results may vary between periods, but I remain confident about the long-term path. We will assess progress over time against our new financial targets.

People, values and culture will remain fundamental to consistent execution as we scale.”

Behind the Targets: Market Growth and Recent Performance

The small satellite market offers a good backdrop for these plans. Extrapolate says the market for satellites under 500 kg will be considerable. It is expected to increase from USD 3.79 billion in 2024 to USD 9.58 billion in 2031, at a CAGR of 14.2%. The forecast is not aligned with every segment GomSpace serves. Still it provides a relevant benchmark. So to hit its target the company needs both market growth and sustained gains in market share.

GomSpace has already reshaped its operating model over the past three years. It created dedicated business units with clear market focus, accountability and go-to-market responsibility. This structure gives the company a scalable platform for profitable growth. As a result, GomSpace has shown it can increase revenue while improving profitability.

And the numbers bear that out. Revenue on a rolling 12-month basis increased to SEK 515 million in Q3 2026 compared to SEK 257 million in Q3 2024. That works out to annualized growth of some 42% over the two-year period. GomSpace also delivered an EBITDA margin above 10% at the end of the period.

How Each Business Unit Will Drive Growth

The company expects growth and profitability to vary from quarter to quarter and year to year. Even so, it believes it can achieve the targets through disciplined execution of its business-unit strategy. Expansion of its international commercial footprint and deeper penetration of existing and adjacent markets will also play a role. Investments in scale, industrialization and innovation will remain priorities. The EBITDA margin may vary depending on the mix of business between the units.

Products and Satellite Systems, the two largest business units, will form the core of the growth trajectory. GomSpace expects growth well above the market from repeat business with existing customers and expansion into new regions. Together, these units should supply a substantial share of the required growth.

Advanced Missions focuses on emerging technologies and mission areas. These include Space Domain Awareness, very low Earth orbit (VLEO), and lunar and deep-space exploration. The unit develops capabilities that position GomSpace for European defense initiatives, space agency programs worldwide, and public and private exploration missions. It should grow in line with the market and remain profitable. However, it will prioritize strategic technology development over near-term profit maximization. Participation in larger European programs, faster technology adoption, or accelerated lunar and deep-space activity could provide upside.

The North America business unit should grow well above the market. GomSpace expects progressively stronger market traction there through 2030. Earlier or more rapid acceleration would represent upside potential.

Finally, National & Defense Solutions targets high-value sovereign programs. These programs can generate larger, longer-duration contracts and strengthen long-term backlog visibility. The unit starts from a limited revenue base today. Nevertheless, it should contribute progressively alongside the other units toward the SEK 1.6 billion goal.

We expect a balance between the different businesses of GomSpace. We will not be dependent on one business or award. There is some upside if we win earlier or bigger contracts but it is hard to know when. Sales cycle can be long.
