Yugabyte, the leader in distributed AI databases, today announced its new Global Partner Program. This effort helps partners modernize enterprise database workloads. And it enables them to deploy AI-ready applications worldwide. The Yugabyte Partner Program is a departure from traditional, tiered partnership models. Instead, it provides a simplified, unified engagement structure for all partners.
Srinivasaa HG, Sr. Vice President & Global Head, Data, Analytics & AI, Wipro Ltd. said, “Financial services institutions are modernizing mission-critical systems while preparing their data estates for AI, and they expect zero compromise on resilience. Our partnership with Yugabyte gives Wipro a distributed SQL foundation for exactly those transformations, from legacy database exits to always-on digital core platforms. The new partner program adds the structure, protection, and economics to scale that practice globally, and we intend to lead with it.”
Database Modernization Becomes a Business Imperative
Database modernization is now an urgent business need for organizations. Therefore, companies are seeking to reduce infrastructure costs while gearing up for AI workloads. Many companies turn to trusted partners to help guide this transformation. Therefore, a number of partners are helping replace decades-old systems with cloud-native infrastructure. The new infrastructure must be good enough to support business-critical AI applications.
The new Yugabyte Partner Program provides a consistent framework for partnership. It also offers incentives, technical training and joint go-to-market plans. Therefore, partners can create repeatable practices for database modernization and AI infrastructure. They also help customers move away from legacy databases to YugabyteDB. YugabyteDB is a distributed PostgreSQL database designed for resilience and scale.
Karthik Ranganathan, co-founder and CEO of Yugabyte, explained the shift. He said, “The shift to AI-ready applications is fundamentally changing what enterprises need from their data infrastructure. Organizations building a robust data foundation for agentic enterprise rely on trusted partners to provide critical strategies and insights needed, not just to modernize mission-critical databases but also to architect the resilient, globally scalable platforms that tomorrow’s AI demands. We’re investing in an ecosystem that gives those partners everything they need to help customers accelerate their transformations and build long-term business engagement with Yugabyte.”
Two Flexible Engagement Models for Partners
Unlike traditional programs, Yugabyte does not require partners to climb tiers first. Instead, partners can choose between two engagement models immediately. The Refer Partners model lets partners introduce opportunities and earn referral incentives. Meanwhile, the Resell Partners model allows direct sales and recurring revenue generation.
The program spans five partner tracks altogether. These include Strategic Cloud Partners, Resellers, Solution Partners, ISVs, and Distributors. Specifically, Resellers and Solution Partners operate under the Yugabyte Master Partner Agreement. Meanwhile, other tracks follow separate, track-specific agreements. This flexible approach matches partners with their ideal business model. Thus, they can start immediately and expand as opportunities grow.
End-to-end support for driving partner success
Yugabyte also has broad partner support to ensure you profit. That includes deal protection, training through Yugabyte University and co-marketing resources. Partners also have access to proof-of-concept resources and simplified onboarding support. These benefits combine to speed each partner’s path to sustainable development.
Rohan Thomas, VP of Global Partner Sales and Business Development at Yugabyte, highlighted existing partner success. He said, “Our partners are already delivering the hardest version of this work, standing up YugabyteDB centers of excellence inside major banks and training engineers on distributed PostgreSQL in a matter of weeks. This program exists to make that repeatable in every market we operate in.”
This announcement is further testament to Yugabyte’s ongoing investment in global partnerships. The program already has big names like Wipro, Sonata Software and Mindgate on board. Other partners include Takara, Ispirer, eGuardian, Ory, Hexacluster and Arus. These partners together cover North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific geographies. Ultimately, this ecosystem reinforces global distributed PostgreSQL adoption and AI-native data infrastructure.
