Radial Entertainment Appoints Brendon Thomas as Chief Revenue Officer

Radial Entertainment

Radial Entertainment announced a major leadership change today. The company appointed Brendon Thomas as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Thomas previously served as Senior Vice President of Distribution and Business Development at Paramount Global. Now, he will lead revenue generation across Radial’s expanding global content portfolio.

The firm operates the largest independent film and television catalog in the industry. This library currently contains over 70,000 titles. Therefore, Thomas will oversee monetization for this entire collection and recent acquisitions. He will design the overall revenue strategy for the company. Additionally, he will align key functions like distribution, licensing, advertising, and business development.

Driving Media Distribution and Executive Growth

Thomas reports directly to Radial CEO Jeff Shultz. The executive organization includes Co-Heads of Sales Julie Dansker and Daniel Gagliardi. Dansker serves as EVP of Global Licensing and International Distribution. Meanwhile, Gagliardi works as EVP of North American Digital Distribution. Matt Katrosar also joins the team as EVP of Global Advertising and Partnerships.

Thomas will deepen platform and advertiser relationships. Furthermore, he will open new avenues for global revenue growth. Shultz expressed immense confidence in the new Chief Revenue Officer.

“Brendon and I have built together for nearly a decade. He led our most important distribution deals and strategic partnerships at Paramount, and he’s the best commercial operator I know. There was no one else I wanted in this seat,” said Jeff Shultz, CEO of Radial.

Thomas brings extensive industry experience to his new role. He has spent more than a decade working in streaming distribution. At Paramount Global, he managed partnerships across Paramount+, Pluto TV, Showtime, and BET+. These massive deals represented $8 billion in annual revenue.

Previously, Thomas worked as Head of Global Distribution for Pluto TV. He held this role from 2015 through the 2019 acquisition by Viacom. He successfully scaled Pluto TV to more than 80 million users. Then, his negotiated partnerships helped Pluto TV cross $1 billion in annual revenue by 2021. Thomas shared his excitement about joining Radial.

“Independent content libraries are entering their most valuable era – platforms need scale, advertisers want premium AVOD inventory, and global FAST is still in early innings. Radial has the catalog, the distribution leadership, and the platform relationships to win this moment. My focus is on accelerating the revenue engine the team has built to put Radial at the forefront of our industry’s transformation. Working with Jeff again, and the opportunity to build upon what Julie, Daniel, and the team have put in place, is why I’m here,” said the newly appointed Chief Revenue Officer.
