Cybersecurity pioneer Onyx Security announced a landmark $113 million Series B funding round today. Venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners led the investment round. Prominent participating investors included Cyberstarts, TCV, Conviction, FirstMark, Vintage, QuantumLight, and G Squared. Consequently, total company funding now reaches $153 million. This capital injection directly accelerates enterprise management of Advanced AI systems across global markets.
Since exiting stealth four months ago, Onyx quadrupled its recurring platform revenue. Major AI model developers, including Anthropic, recently integrated their systems with Onyx. These strategic integrations help enterprises securely deploy Advanced AI solutions at scale.
Furthermore, newly developed models like Mythos and Fable showcase unprecedented capabilities. These powerful models often prove extremely difficult for security teams to control. Consequently, employees frequently give autonomous software agents access to critical infrastructure.
To solve this challenge, Onyx provides a dedicated control plane for Advanced AI agents. The company uses proprietary models to monitor agent reasoning steps in real time. Thus, the platform corrects unintended actions before security breaches happen.
Companies have begun to recognize the urgency of the AI control challenge. “In 2025, less than one percent of actions were made by agents,” said Maxim Bar Kogan, CEO and Co-founder of Onyx. “These new autonomous actors will soon be taking the overwhelming majority of actions, which begs the question – how do we guarantee these actions are legitimate?”
Dozens of Fortune 500 enterprises currently trust Onyx across banking, tech, energy, and insurance sectors.
“Onyx gives us the visibility and control we need to enable safe use of coding agents across multiple service providers,” explained Uros Solar, Head of Security Engineering at Revolut. “The platform’s unique approach allows us to evaluate and stop threats at runtime.”
The platform secures both commercial third-party solutions and internal, custom-built software systems.
“AI agents are becoming an important part of how modern companies operate, but enterprises need trust, control, and accountability before they can adopt them at scale,” said Amit Karp, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. “Onyx is building the control layer that makes this possible. Maxim and Gil have identified one of the most urgent challenges in enterprise AI, and we believe that Onyx is positioned to define this category.”
“As AI agents become embedded in critical business workflows, enterprises need a way to ensure they operate safely, predictably, and within policy,” said Hila Zigman, General Partner at Cyberstarts. “Onyx is building the control layer that makes enterprise AI adoption possible at scale. We believe this will become one of the defining security categories of the coming decade.”
Ultimately, Onyx will use the funds to build next-generation models for governing Advanced AI deployments.
