Mappedin Hires Aaron Fullen as New Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Indoor Intelligence Platform Growth

Mappedin

Indoor mapping platform Mappedin has announced a major executive hiring decision. The enterprise technology company named Aaron Fullen as its new Chief Revenue Officer. This leadership update comes just weeks after the business secured significant financial backing. Mappedin recently closed a 24.5 million dollar Series B funding round.

The company wants to expand its mapping operations from single buildings to whole cities. Currently, Mappedin has mapped over 10 billion square feet across 86 countries. Their platform guides more than 450 million visitors on an annual basis. Prominent clients include Simon Property Group, LAX, and several Super Bowl stadiums.

The recent funding aims to help map the remaining 99 percent of global indoor spaces. Fullen will head the commercial scaling efforts during this high-growth transition period. He brings over two decades of go-to-market leadership to the expanding enterprise. Previously, Fullen managed revenue operations for an AI-powered customer engagement platform. He handled deployments for American Airlines, AT&T, and JetBlue.

Expanding Beyond Wayfinding

Mappedin is shifting its near-term focus toward advanced location intelligence capabilities. Co-Founder and CEO Hongwei Liu expressed great confidence in the new Chief Revenue Officer.

“We’ve spent years proving that indoor maps are infrastructure for the built environment, powering guest experience, building operations, and security. Aaron has spent his career turning technically sophisticated platforms into category-defining businesses. He sees exactly what Mappedin can become, and we are glad to have him on the team,” said Hongwei Liu, Co-Founder and CEO of Mappedin.

The platform plans to build an integrated venue operating system within the next year. This system will provide building owners with a real-time view of properties. Fullen shared his strategic perspective on the market potential.

“I’ve evaluated a lot of opportunities, and the ones that get me out of bed are the ones where, once you see the value proposition, you can’t unsee it. Mappedin is one of those companies. The map is so much more than wayfinding. It’s a data layer that gives building owners complete awareness and control of everything happening inside their walls. Once you start thinking about it that way, the business opportunity is enormous. Anyone whose business has something to do with a building, we can become a revenue and cost-saving engine for them. That’s the company we’re building,” said Fullen.
