Infobip Debuts RCS BusinessOS as an End-to-End RCS Scaling Solution

RCS BusinessOS

Infobip has launched RCS BusinessOS, an end-to-end solution for scaling RCS for Business. RCS BusinessOS helps mobile operators launch, control, monetize, and operate RCS services. Infobip is a global AI-first cloud communications platform. The company designed the new operating layer for operators seeking a complete commercial and operational framework.

The solution removes the need for operators to build the entire stack themselves. Instead, RCS BusinessOS brings key capabilities together within one modular framework. The launch comes as RCS adoption continues to accelerate across global markets. As a result, operators now face new demands beyond basic channel enablement.

They must also create scalable business models around RCS services. At the same time, brands continue to seek stronger customer engagement through richer messaging experiences. Consequently, RCS has become an increasingly important revenue opportunity for telecom operators. Infobip designed RCS BusinessOS to help operators capture this growing opportunity.

RCS BusinessOS Supports the Full RCS Lifecycle

RCS BusinessOS provides 4 built-in layers for the RCS lifecycle. operators can customize these capabilities to their own business needs. The first layer, Enable, addresses technical and ecosystem needs. It enables technical enablement, device provisioning and ecosystem integration. It also allows onboarding to the RCS ecosystem. The layer also covers devices running Android and iOS.

Control (second layer) is about network visibility and managing traffic. The platform offers operators network-level visibility. The layer also provides traffic governance and spam & fraud protection. Moreover, the framework allows operators to control operational policies. The third layer is Monetize, all about commercial opportunities. It offers flexible monetization, underpinned by a CPaaS platform, for operator use cases.

Operators can also employ different commercial go-to-market models. This gives them more flexibility in developing RCS revenue strategies. The fourth layer, Operate, supports continuous service management. Includes managed services, operational support, agent onboarding and lifecycle execution. These four layers together address the major technical and commercial requirements. This way operators can manage more of their RCS operations within a common framework.

“RCS is moving from early adoption to becoming a mainstream business messaging channel. For carriers, the challenge is no longer whether to support RCS, but how to operationalize it at scale,” said Dave Boddington, RCS Business Unit Head at Infobip. “RCS BusinessOS is designed to give operators a complete, production-ready operating model — from enablement through to monetization and day-to-day operations.”

Infobip Targets Scalable RCS Adoption

Infobip combines these capabilities to help operators speed up their time to market. The framework also seeks to reduce operational complexity. Operators can also leverage the solution to create sustainable streams of income. The platform also gives businesses an alternative to OTT channels. Market data also points to the opportunity around RCS messaging. Juniper Research forecasts that global RCS business messages will surpass 485 billion by 2030.

That compares with an expected 125 billion messages in 2026. This is an estimated 286% increase over the period. This growing volume of messaging therefore presents significant opportunities for telecom operators. Operators may utilize scalable RCS services to enhance client engagement and monetization. Infobip differentiates RCS BusinessOS from the fragmented market solutions. Existing solutions target specific components of the RCS ecosystem.

These components include an Entitlement Server, messaging infrastructure, or a MaaP management layer. In contrast, RCS BusinessOS combines these requirements within one modular operating model. The framework covers technical enablement and commercial execution. It also addresses governance and ongoing operational management.

RCS BusinessOS Strengthens Operator Control

Infobip designed the platform to help operators maintain a central role in business messaging. The solution also gives operators greater control over traffic and monetization. Additionally, operators can improve the way they onboard customers. This can help simplify the operational demands associated with RCS deployments.

“We’ve been working on RCS for the past 10 years, and our experience has shown us that successful implementation requires aligning multiple areas of expertise and significant operational heavy lifting. Seeing a solution like RCS BusinessOS bring together technology, operational capabilities, and expertise for operators is a real step forward. It can help established operators scale more efficiently, while giving those entering RCS today a much simpler path to getting started and turning RCS into a new major revenue stream,” said Alexandre Gavina, RCS Business Development Manager at Bouygues Telecom.

We’ve been working with Google on RCS since 2018. The company currently provides RCS connectivity in over 70 countries worldwide. Its connectivity includes Tier 1 US carriers. Infobip, meanwhile, adds broader global market experience to its RCS offering. The company also has local regulatory experience and existing market relationships. These capabilities can help operators to accelerate onboarding and expand RCS deployments globally.

With the increase in RCS adoption, operators need scalable infrastructure and commercial strategies. RCS BusinessOS combines these capabilities in an integrated operating model The launch also strengthens Infobip’s position in the RCS ecosystem. The company has been awarded by Juniper Research for its market presence and technical expertise. Infobip is also home to a number of ROCCO awards for RCS innovation. These awards are a confirmation of the well-established position of the company in the RCS market.

With RCS BusinessOS, Infobip aims to simplify the path toward scalable business messaging. The company also seeks to help operators turn RCS into a sustainable commercial opportunity. As a result, the new solution brings together enablement, control, monetization, and operations. This approach gives telecom operators a structured way to manage RCS for Business at scale.
