TimePayment

TimePayment Names Joanna Markos Chief Revenue Officer as Fintech Startup Prepares for Next Phase of Growth Markos joins with more than 13 years of equipment financing experience.

TimePayment, an award-winning fintech focused on commercial equipment financing, has promoted Joanna Markos to Chief Revenue Officer. Markos brings extensive experience covering all facets of the equipment financing industry. She started at TimePayment in 2013 as an Account Executive. In the next ten years she rose through a number of management positions in the company.

Eventually, Markos rose to be TimePayment’s vise president of sales. While there, she also launched TimePayment’s Water division. She was able to build the unit up to $4MM per month in sales. In 2023, Markos left TimePayment for a new leadership role. She got into equipment lease financing and added to her leadership experience.

But her connection to TimePayment was still there. Markos returned to the company in 2025 as Director of Growth. Since then she has helped support the company’s growth strategy and commercial objectives. “She knows our business, our partners and the opportunities in front of us as we continue to build.

“In recent years, we’ve been very focused on efficiency, process, and becoming even better at what we do—and we’ve succeeded,” Markos explains. “Now we’re all about growth. So I’m leading the charge to build out our sales team, expand the verticals we serve, and make growth the focus of our decision-making.”

Markos Takes Charge of TimePayment’s Growth Strategy

Markos steps into that role as chief revenue officer. The appointment is timely as TimePayment focuses more on business growth. The company has recently focused on operational efficiency and stronger internal processes. It is now planning to focus more on expanding its revenue opportunities.

In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, Markos will lead a number of key commercial initiatives. She will focus on building the company’s sales team as well as growing the verticals it serves. Also, she will help make growth a core component of business decisions. With her industry experience, she has first-hand experience with customers, partners and financing operations. So, her coming back is a bridge between TimePayment’s previous efforts to grow and its current plans to expand.

TimePayment Strengthens Sales and Partner Expansion

Alyce Reilly, TimePayment’s Chief Operating Officer, highlighted Markos’ leadership experience. She also pointed to Markos’ established track record within the company.

“What Joanna brings is that track record, that proven leadership that makes her uniquely positioned to lead our sales organization at this important point in our growth,” says Alyce Reilly, TimePayment’s Chief Operating Officer. “As we sharpen our focus on growing originations, expanding our partner relationships, and reaching more businesses with the financing solutions we provide, Joanna’s leadership will be instrumental in turning that strategy into results.”

As a part of its overall growth strategy, the company wants to grow originations. It also plans to develop relationships with business partners. TimePayment also wants to bring its financing solutions to more businesses. With these priorities, the sales organization is the heart of its commercial expansion.

“Markos’ previous leadership experience may also assist the company’s efforts across these areas. She already has worked closely with TimePayment’s business operations and partner network. She also brings first hand experience in sales leadership from her previous role as Vise President of Sales. Simultaneously, her work with the Water unit shows her ability to grow a business segment.

Building Relationships Remains Key Focus

Markos also brings a strong relationship-building background to her new position, in addition to sales and revenue growth. Reilly highlighted the significance of Markos’ work in customer relationships. She also pointed to her experience with people throughout the organization.

Markos has developed relationships with customers and partners throughout her career. She knows, from her background, that trust is very important in commercial equipment financing.

“She’s someone our customers really value working with. I’ve seen firsthand the energy, experience, and commitment she brings to TimePayment and to the people around her. She understands our business, our partners, and the opportunities ahead of us as we continue building for our next phase.” With Markos now serving as Chief Revenue Officer, TimePayment will continue focusing on growth. The company will also pursue broader market opportunities and stronger partner relationships.

Meanwhile, TimePayment is expanding its commercial finance operations and her return gives leadership continuity. Her industry experience will be an asset to the company’s initiatives to grow sales and revenues. Overall, the appointment of Markos is another step in TimePayment’s growth strategy. Now the company is looking to her leadership to build its sales organization and expand its reach.
