Consensus Names Former Salesloft and Greenhouse CRO Sean Murray as Chief Revenue Officer

Consensus

Consensus has appointed Sean Murray as its new Chief Revenue Officer. The Consensus Chief Revenue Officer appointment follows a record year for the company. Consensus completed two acquisitions during the past year. The company also gained recognition in G2’s new Agentic GTM Platforms category.

Consensus, the world’s most trusted Demo Platform and the #1-rated Demo Automation solution on G2, announced the appointment of Sean Murray as Chief Revenue Officer. Murray will take full responsibility for the company’s revenue organization. His appointment follows a period of strong business momentum. During that period, Consensus completed two acquisitions and expanded its platform. The company now connects self-guided product exploration, AI-powered conversations, and live demos. This approach gives buyers several ways to evaluate products before speaking with sales teams.

Murray most recently served as CEO of Productiv, the SaaS management platform. However, his extensive go-to-market experience remains a key part of his background. As CRO at Greenhouse, Murray helped grow the business from $40 million to more than $200 million. Earlier, he worked at Salesloft and built its enterprise motion from the ground up. At Salesloft, Murray helped take the business from $20 million to $60 million. His experience includes building structured and repeatable revenue organizations. He has also developed strong relationships with teams throughout his career. Those relationships have supported his leadership across different stages of business growth.

“I’ve spent my career building and scaling revenue engines, including as CRO at Salesloft and Greenhouse, and most recently as CEO of Productiv,” said Murray. “What drew me to Consensus is that the shift is already happening. Buyers are running most of their evaluation before they ever talk to a seller, and Consensus is the only company that sees all of it: self-guided, conversational, and live. That is not a better demo tool. That is the intelligence layer for how enterprise software gets bought.”

Consensus Expands Through Acquisitions

The Consensus Chief Revenue Officer appointment comes after twelve months of continued business momentum. The company completed two acquisitions within six months. Consensus acquired Peel in April 2026. The acquisition added AI-powered conversational demos to its platform. The company then acquired Saleo in June 2026. Saleo added data-rich live demos to the platform.

These live demos bring account-specific data directly into the native product experience. Together, the acquisitions expanded Consensus across different buyer engagement models. The combined platform now supports buyer-led, AI-led, and seller-led demos. As a result, Consensus can offer more capabilities to its enterprise customer base. The company already serves 60% of the world’s largest software companies. Its enterprise customers include Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, and HubSpot.

Meanwhile, Consensus also gained recognition in a new G2 category. G2 named Consensus a leader in Agentic GTM Platforms. G2 introduced the category in August 2026. The category covers platforms that use AI agents across the go-to-market lifecycle. Consensus also holds the #1 position in Demo Automation. Additionally, G2 named the company among its Top 5 Sales Software Platforms of 2026. The recognition placed Consensus alongside Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and PandaDoc. G2 evaluated more than 4,600 products for the broader recognition.

The company also reported a major growth year in 2026. Consensus has recorded double-digit revenue growth during the period. Customer demand has continued to accelerate across the business. Enterprise adoption has also expanded across the platform. Together, these developments have strengthened the company’s position across its business operations.

Consensus Builds Momentum Across Revenue Operations

The Consensus Chief Revenue Officer appointment also follows recognition connected to Saleo’s previous growth. Saleo, which now operates as Consensus Live, ranked #127 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list. The ranking measured three-year revenue growth among America’s fastest-growing private companies. Saleo placed within the top 3% of companies on the list. It also ranked #12 among U.S. software companies.

Additionally, the company ranked #3 among companies based in Georgia. The Inc. 5000 recognition provides an external measure of Saleo’s growth before its integration with Consensus. Inc. evaluates companies using three-year revenue growth. The organization verifies the figures against audited financial statements. Saleo ranked #127 among 5,000 honorees covering the period from 2022 to 2025. The business now operates as Consensus Live. Consensus Live represents the seller-led portion of the broader Consensus platform.

“Sean has done this at scale twice and then ran a company,” said Doug Johnson, CEO of Consensus. “We are not hiring a CRO to fix something. We are hiring one to press an advantage. We own the category G2 just created a page for, and we are the only platform that captures buyer intelligence across every demo surface. Sean knows exactly what to do with that.”

Murray will oversee new business, expansion, and partnerships in his new role. He will also lead the company’s go-to-market organization. The next phase will focus on turning demo engagement into Demo Intelligence. This approach centers on buyer signals collected throughout the evaluation process.

Those signals can help revenue teams understand who belongs to a buying group. They can also reveal what buyers care about during their evaluation. In addition, the platform aims to show when an opportunity is moving forward. This information can help revenue teams better understand buying activity.

“Every revenue leader is being asked to do more with a smaller team and larger buying committees,” said Murray. “The answer is not more meetings. It is letting the product do the selling and reading the signals it sends back to close the deal. Consensus is there, every step of the way.”
