Driving Financial Leadership and Global Operations

Martin-Garcia brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role as Chief Accounting Officer. Over her career, she has consistently led high-performance teams for multinational public companies. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at CareDx. During her tenure at CareDx, she strengthened internal control environments significantly. Moreover, she scaled global financial infrastructure through modern accounting and reporting systems. Prior to CareDx, she held key executive leadership positions at Carbon, Inc. In addition, she led global finance initiatives at major technology brands, including Polycom and Plantronics. Earlier, Martin-Garcia built her career foundation through nine years in public accounting at KPMG. She is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California.

“We are thrilled to welcome Colleen to the 8×8 leadership team,” said Kevin Kraus, Chief Financial Officer at 8×8, Inc. “Her deep technical expertise, extensive history leading global teams, and proven track record of scaling financial infrastructure make her the ideal leader to guide our global accounting organization as we continue to drive operational excellence and long-term value.”

Strategic Equity Inducement Grant Details

Meanwhile, the independent directors of 8×8’s Compensation Committee approved a substantial equity grant for Martin-Garcia. As Chief Accounting Officer, she receives restricted stock units representing 600,000 shares of 8×8 common stock. These restricted stock units will vest over a three-year period. However, vesting is subject to her continued employment with 8×8 or its subsidiaries. This award was approved by the Compensation Committee as a material inducement for the hiring of a new executive officer. In particular, the board structured the grant under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4). Additionally, the award is granted under 8×8’s Amended and Restated 2017 New Employee Inducement Incentive Plan. 8×8’s continued commitment to financial transparency is highlighted by the hiring of a seasoned Chief Accounting Officer. 8×8 is still fine-tuning its cloud communications platform and sticking to tight operational governance.
